Weehawken River Run
By Gina Jackson • Sep 8th, 2008 • Category: OutdoorOMG a new surface for the fall! Yes, apparantely I am late in finding it, but learned over the Labor Day weekend that the Weehawken Park has not only tennis courts, baseball field and soccer field, but a much needed running track with the most spectacular view of the city.
Whether along the river edge or at the park itself it cannot be more beatiuful or delightful visually or physically for the body. For those of you locally looking for a change of venue and a way to get away from the sounds of car horns, smells of exhaust fumes, consider running, walking or roller-blading in this grand facility.
Seems it actually opened last fall as a joint recreational facility for Steven’s Tech. The running track must have been completed this Spring.
It is a must for outdoor fitness. Just north of the Chart House and adjacent to the restaurant, Arthur’s Landing.
