Hudson RiverWalk

Wall Street has fallen apart, the Dow seems to have collasped, McCain and Palin have lost their minds and the weather has been so deliciously beautiful the only thing I have wanted to do is ride, run and walk.  In fact, for hours.

I blogged about the Hudson RiverWalk before – just a few short weeks ago and dog-gone-it (did I spell that right Sarah?), I have been using it quite frequently ever since.

Clearly for cardio workouts it is ideal, however, with a few tools like resistance bands and a maybe a ball or two, one could make the entire Riverwalk experience an outdoor gym.

Today I rollerbladed for the first time this season.  Earlier in the week I rode from Hoboken to West New York and then rode the Path to the city for my Pilates Session with Master Teacher Bob Liekens and the gals at Power Pilates.  A few days before that, I rode north with the goal of going uphill to the GWB.  Unfortunately, I made it as far as Le Jardin and my legs said, “Whoa Nelly, hold on there kid!”

You see, it turns out my half a century old body IS GAINING A FEW pounds and I am working at the things I love to keep it all in check.

Enjoy what I saw and you can see along the way with the video below. Can you tell I love living here?
