Last Day of June Summer Fitness

Spirited day and a spirited month.  Denise and Mike finally joined us and Soni took Mahesh’s place; several were June Summer Fitness  missing in action, but the group that showed on the last full day of June’s Summer Fitness in the park were on!

We tried something new (a surefire repeat, I might add) Jumping Jacks with an ankle resistance band. Whew!  Check the video.

Weehawken River Run

OMG a new surface for the fall!  Yes, apparantely I am late in finding it, but learned over the Labor Day weekend that the Weehawken Park has not only tennis courts, baseball field and soccer field, but a much needed running track with the most spectacular view of the city.

Summer Fit Camp Begins June

The two early group sessions are completely booked and only three (3) slots remain open in the 9:30 group for the Summer Fit Camp in Braddock Park. That means eighteen women will be working their butts off burning those calories for two solid months with me.

They are daring to be different and take the work outdoors.

Do It Big with Balls

We Do It Big with Stability Balls – that is! Stability balls challenge and therefore, help to develop core strength, balance and control. I like to use them for all my workout routines but find particular good use for the tool when doing lunges, hamstring curls, pushups, planks and abdominal pikes.

Jammin’ To Burn

Jammin’ In The CircleAfter I finished my morning work with TheStrengthClub.Net Summer Fit Camp (see the video below), I ran two loops around the outside perimeter (4 miles) of Braddock Park to get my cardio burn and followed with a few push-ups, bench tricep dips and chest presses as well as some leg work with the ankle dynabands. Similar stuff I had each of the group members perform for 1.5 hrs.
